Sweet Sweet Land
Anthony Kwamlah Johnson
Ama and her friends live in the idyllic village of Mensu. It is a serene, rural village inhabited by fishermen, farmers and herders. For many years, the inhabitants of Mensu sustainably lived in harmony with nature.
Suddenly, Mensu Village is invaded by rich businessmen, greedy politicians and adventurers. These invaders grabbed the land and displaced the poor, rightful landowners. The land grab sparks a conflict between the rich and the poor.
The children of Mensu Village, led by Ama, play their role to protect the land.
What roles did the children play? Did the children succeed? Who wins the sweet land in the end?
